Modigliani's Model of Social Reform: Beatrice Hastings
Inspired by Amedeo Modigliani, I created this portrait drawing from his 1916 work. A portrait of Beatrice Hastings. Beatrice was a sharp‑minded social reformer and an influential writer on women’s rights in the early 1900s. She was also a close companion of Modigliani and the subject of several of his most memorable portraits. My piece pays tribute to both her presence and the expressive elegance of Modigliani’s style.
