Artist's Statement
EACH ARTWORK HAS AN ESSENCE
By nature, I cannot spend long hours or days working on a composition. I always try to extract the "essence" of the subject matter, to make it "come to life" in my design. Once I feel this "life-throb," it is time to stop. Thereby "giving birth" to the oeuvre's spirit.
I enjoy creating monsters, medical illustrations, surrealist scenes, computer images from my photography, and figure drawings. I often paint free-flowing abstracts with bright contrasting colors and large color fields.
I often document the work with progressive photographs, sketches, notes, thoughts, time fragments, and related social events. A Certificate of Authenticity testifies to the art and adds credible value to the opus.
