Zu and Lu\'s Portrait
In 1990, I created this small painting, a portrait of my two daughters. Over the years, this art is my all-time favorite piece of work. I see it every day, in front of me, above the computer. I never tire of it.
Thinking back at all the years, my art is my picture diary, and writings are my thoughts. It is funny how little things seem to connect in timeâs wonderous unfolding of life little âdotsâ along the way. Somehow, these dots define a path, a purpose, an appreciation, a thanksgiving.
Specifically, for me, these two aliens became the characters in my science-fiction book, The Chronicles of Zu and Lu, Vibes Gone Berjerk! They also became the reason for my art.
I see Zu and Lu as my mentors, my dear friends, my âfunâ for living, and my âhopeâ to carry on in years ahead. They tell me that things will work out, there is a better horizon, and âto care deeplyâ about helping each other.
Like my two daughters, we are all family. Start connecting.
Size: 10x12 inch, acrylic, and color chalk.
